my love for my college

thr r colleges and thr r careers comin out of these colleges...sometimes b school miss out on the later part nd make students feel cheated when after payin a huge fee in indian standards, u bite dust. not because u need to be extraordinary but becoz the intake ws if u r sheep nd not future managers. nd many of these famous b schools hv a tie up with one of the big media house to participate in the rankin nd students again get in the trap.bt frankly they dnt hv a choice...govt has nt been able to provide rqrd infra to accomodte the expandin no of students so pvt palyers come in to pic and start makin quick money in in the name of education.

nd to my surprise hw do these b school appear in the top 10 when evry student is nt gettin even a job...again power of money brain nd no doubt in efficiency of govt...our hrd minister...leads to such deceptive results.

nd thr is an atmosphere tht u cant say all the shit ur b school made u to eat among b school students fraternity and the real beneficiaries enjoy the easily made perks and thr remains frustation and rejection among many students but wht can do they.

in the name of loyalty...u pay extra money with out any returns.

this ll remain as it is...till some miracle happens and again our ser sector grows at a rapid rate like near past nd we r able to fit all pass outs on to jobs...

bt i ll suggest to be vocal nd speak out truth t0 them who want to join a b school

The purpose of religion…

Islam, is often considered to be synonymous with terrorism. Or at least it is the general perception of most of the people around the world. It is also true that Islam never was the direct reason behind the spread of terrorism. But no one can ignore that all the terrorists around the world follow islam. It is not this fact that surprises me. But its the tenacity of these terrorists to accomplish their mission of jehad in the name of their religion, that I find quite appalling.
Not only these terrorists but also the general muslims are such ardent followers of their religion. Any harm that is inflicted upon any part of the society is dealt with great uproar of resistance from across all the sections of the religion. The afzal guru case and the case of caricatures of Prophet Mohammed only effectively epitomize this fact.
Christians are no different. The millions of dollars being spent by some organizations in the US to spread Christianity by converting people from other castes is a proof of their mission to make Christianity an all pervasive dominant religion around the world.
The point I’m trying to drive upon is that the followers of these religions as opposed to the followers Hinduism are so much focused on their religion that they have missed the very purpose of a religion, which is nothing but spreading humanity.
Hinduism I feel has been successful in sending its message across to its followers. Its emphasis on Karma, its ever forgiving gods and the assurance that it gives to its followers that any follower in any trouble is free to come to “ bhagwan ke sharan” ( god’s footsteps) reflects that hinduism is a tolerant religion. Moreover, unlike Christianity and Islam which are dogmatic and lay down strict rules for their followers, the various hindu scripts have been written in the form of stories. This shows that Hinduism doesn’t threaten its followers in case they make mistakes. The dogmatic nature of the other religions can be one reason why their followers perceive other religions not following what is written in their scripts to be doing wrong. This is also a reason why the followers of these religions see any harm inflicted to their community as a catastrophe brought upon by others against their religion.
Hinduism with so many gods leaves the choice on its followers to pray anyone. Perhaps the rishis that wrote the Ramayana, Mahabharata and other Hindu scripts realized the basic fact that all human beings are born different. They have different inclinations and bend of mind. Expecting all of them to follow certain strict rules and codes of conduct in everything that they do is foolish. Perhaps this is why the Hinduism is told by the medium of stories which gives enough space for its followers to interpret it in their way. Hinduism doesn’t concentrate on making its followers adopt strict rules which would guide their lives. But it concentrates on making people realize the importance of humanity and respect for other people. This indeed is the essence of a religion.
I don’t want to compare all the religions and come to any conclusions but considering all these facts, only makes the strengths of Hinduism more evident and brings reverence in my heart for it.

The fact remains the same...

There are only a handful of muslims in terror activities, and the name of muslims is unnecessaarily maligned...is what i hear all around from all leaders...mainly in english media. There may be handful but the damage is immense. And look at the politicians..they jst cant hang afjal guru as he is a muslim..and talk about bannin bajrang dal and VHP and shameless hindu leaders endorse all bcoz of votebank politics...call bjp communal but fact of the matter is that they themsevles are most communal and have been able to gain muslim votebank without doing any real work for the community. I jst dont understand why there is so much uneasyness in even educated muslims...an engineer earnin 19 lac per annum..killin people with out any motive is madness and madness can be controlled by punishment only. There seem to be some fundamental problem and islam is going through tough times around the world...they have been isolated and i frankly dont see any hope of them comimg out of this darkness as who really undersand the graveness of the situation cant speak out as they are scared and fundamantalists are loud mouthed.

Anyway leaders like amar singh are a shame to the society who easily give 10 lac rs to the widow of mc sharma and question the integrity of police in an open and completely clear case ( recent Jamia encounter) to win muslim votes. There have been so many small fragments in the name of cast and leaders openly vouch their loyalty to different castes but when it comes to the entire hindu soceity...no one speaks up as if anyone is welcome to screw this so called greatest religion of the world.

But there are people who use simple common sense and know that hindu is being cheated time and again...though their opinion is hardly printed in media...but truth remains the same

Dismal state..

The singur land controversy seems to be stretching a bit too long…every rational person in the state knows how desperately the state needs industrialization ... Still so much of controversy!!! That too with the TATA’s known for their best CSR practices!!! And all this because of the political ambitions of the Mamta Banerjee!
Strange, that the chief minister is helpless at this point after making a promise to Ratan Tata of being on his side for the plant. Poor Mr. chief Minister was told by his own party inmates to keep mum on the issue and not push too much to get TATA’s in. Actually it’s not the first case of this kind. Similar was the situation of Somnath Chatterji who had different opinions on the Nuclear Deal and was asked to quit the party if he didn’t take partys’ side. Yet similar was Manmohan Singh’s situation when he tried to calm down Ambani brothers fighting and spoiling the Indian Corporate brand image. Our dear prime minister was asked to keep shut. Actually it’s a very common phenomenon. Any person trying to do some good in the interest of the masses is discouraged and condemned for going against the wishes of the party.
I wonder , does democracy really work for a country like India, where more than half the people are illiterate. When such large number of people who form the citizenry, are the back bone of the democratic system, political parties have a very easy way out. Its their appeasing power that matters. This again is no big deal for the parties ruling in states like west Bengal, where such large numbers people are innocent farmers. How can staying in power be a problem at all!! Look at Mr Jyoti Basu, former chief minister with the longest ever tenure in any state in the country…obviously credit goes to his popularity in the state. And then look what he did for Bengal. The state was at a dismal condition until Mr Buddhdeb Bhatacharjee came to power brought some development to the state. And after doing so much he has lost his popularity. Will he again get a tenure as the next chief minister!!! For all his goodwill….it seems really doubtfull!!!
Once I met a foreigner while travelling in a train, who seemed to be a bit dismayed about the way things worked in India. He said India needs a dictator who has all the power, and it is the only way to make India a developed country in the real terms. At that point of I thought how idiotic was the idea. But somehow my thoughts have changed on this. Perhaps only dictator who is not just a good person but also a true strategist is what our country needs.

An example of Imposed greatness !!!

this is Mr. nehru..i wnt cal him chacha as i thnk tht real stories r nvr told to people nd poor indians alwys hv a deep sense to respect d rich...knowingly or unknowingly. this may hv a deep psychological reasons...may be all poor want to be rich so they cant completely criticise the acts of rich...whtevr!!!

thr r people like sardar patel...i ws readin a story abt him tht he went to study law in europe nd covered miles of distance on foot...

I think tht at times people are so sycophant tht they impose greatness on individuals, though the pesson may nt be demanding it. Same happened in case of Nehru. I hv seen, heard nd read people talkin abt his quotes…like a tryst with destiny…nd these r so famous as if god himself has declared it. No doubt he ws a grt orator…studied in Cambridge nd developed d skill of makin beautiful nd impressive statements. He conceptualized IITs…kudos to him bt only 4 or 5…nd in such a big country only 5-6 IITs…nd media hs alwys talkd abt only ths if no othr engg college in india hs evr produced eminent scientists. I am sayin so tht becoz of this megalomania of Indian media (IITs IIMs etc.), many students comin frm rural india aspire to join only these institutes and sometimes end up reachin nowhr. I ll tel u abt a frnd frm Jamshedpur whom I met in delhi whn we joined a top coachin isn’t. to crack IIT. He ws vry sharp nd ws so ambitious to get into IIT, tht he even didn’t apply to any othr engg college. Unfortunately he cudnt clear IIT nd ltr joined TATA Steel aftr 12^th st., spoiled his life. His parents nvr knew tht any good engg coll can give u a good break…media talkd abt only IITs, a potential guy comin frm rural india suffrd.

Nehru himself studied in top inst, bt nvr did enough for the expandin Indian population. Nd thr r books talkin abt his sinful acts…bt ths r banned in india. No infrastructure, no education, if u can speak good eng…u r a hero in dis country…all IIMs…r callin u.

Nehru enjoyd his life to d fullest, in d company of ladies. I doubt if he hd time to thnk abt the burin indis nd its masses. Gandhi gave a blind eye to his acts…sardar suffered, india suffers till date. Kashmir is one…salary diff b/w central govt nd state govt jobs…I ask if same job, why a diff in salary.

I ws readin a book by R M lala…on JRD , a man whom I admire and respect so much !!!

JRD says tht when I want to talk Nehru abt industril development and hw can It help Indian masses to raise thr livin stsndard…he often start lookin out of d window, ignorin me.

Can we identify real leaders…let us think.

Mumbai Local

Govandi to Mumbai Central...3 locals and diffrnt experiences. people behave diffrnly and i see a pattern in their behaviour. i (u knw newspapers hv started using a small i and not a capital i, as if men hs become egoless...thr r innovative efforts made and tht is fine) was just talking to a friend. Evry local station hs a characterstic...like chractr of a man. it is decided by the no of people boardin in nd off the train...a normal human bein gets some unexpected insipiration as soon as he/she (they r equally aggressive as sme of my female frnds hv told me abt these power women to push thr competetor) changes his/her relative motion of a specific station.

if it is kurla or dadar...all pessengers ll behave in d same way, irrespective of d time of d day...in a hurry, pushin d person nxt to u nd shoutin if babari demolition is goin to happen...nd to my surprise many r smilin nd r excited durin d activity. we r a great civilization...nd many foriegners get envious to us for such small reasons.

govt. has failed to provide d very much needed pub transport in d city...why dont lalu prasad nd his family travl in mumbai local...bt tht day local (specially only to serve d minister) ll look very much diifernt. dont u knw d story of d makin of udaipur airport just because praful patel daughtr got married thr...anyways timevll chnge nd i wish we ll hv a better system in transport nd in electin our leaders.
